My White leghorns lay almost everyday. They are nice, and really act like a dog. As soon as I open the front door, they hear it, and come running! Sweet girls, and good layers.

i have rhode island reds and comets. they are grat chickens. i have had leghorn before and i dont like them.

I have several white leghorns including a roo. They are fabulous birds and great layers.
Some others to check out would be RIR's, and Black Australorps as well as Easter Eggers.

I agree with the other posts. Delawares I think are more docile. I had Leghorns many years ago. They were more flighty. It is really hard to say what you should get. I say get what you really want.
