Which breeds live well together?

I have had about 15 different breeds of chickens. Mostly dual purpose ones. They have all gotten along well. I think adding in silkies or Polish chickens would be a real problem though. They are just too different and their head feathers get pecked at. No matter what, make sure they all have plenty of room and hiding places so that they can get away from each other. And a couple different food and water stations helps also.

I have a huge coop so my easter egger is used to living with polish and my polish is actually the head hen so to put it this way, I could fit ten hens and that would be okay they would each have enough room, sooo bad idea or no, cause i really am just not sure

So I have a Polsih and a Easter Egger, I was wondering since they are best buds, If I should add a silkie into the mix cause I just love a variety. Good idea or no?

Just a personal opinion based on experience. Silkies cant see too well sometimes get to the food a bit later than other chickens and may get picked on by the other breeds. I also noticed Silkies are easy to get ticks etc and they do not scratch ground often that makes the area where kept a bit messy. For these reasons, I gave up my silkies. White Leghorn always pecked on them so another caution there and recently I got ISA Brown chickens and even though they are larger in size, White Leghorns still pick on them hard for food so I had to separate them out and giving up on White Leghorns also. .
