What do you mean by black Rock, the hybrid ones? Black sex links?

Comb type of offspring will be V-type or a variant. Offspring from the Leghorns will be mostly white with maybe splotches of black. Offspring from the "Rocks" will depend on what cross they are.

Yes, black rocks I am going to buy are black sex links. RIR roo over bared Plymouth rock hens!

Well, I took my bantam back from my aunt. This bantam is 8 ys old. So bossy, so mean, she is my alpha hen!!!

I took my white styrian back from my aunt. This expensive hen was a present from my cousin from Germany.

And I bought a black jersey giant pullet. I have three ladies now.

And I will need some layers.

And that's the problem!!!

A veterinarian told me that the commercial red sex links of big companies (you know what I mean) lay only if they are kept in battery cages with artificial lighting and eat layer pellets. He insists on them being unnatural and genetically modified birds and containing some dangerous information in their DNA.

And when free ranging and not given layer pellets but seeds a heritage breed like the australorp black and the light sussex can overlay the commercial red sex links by far.

He told me that if I keep them free ranging without layer pellets and artificial lighting the australorp black and the sussex light will lay 220-240 eggs and the commercial red sex links will lay only 100-130 eggs!!!

I don't know what to do! I need help!!!

He's clearly misinformed and ignorant on the subject.

I will never trust him again. He is insane. I was just informed that he gave a therapy for sick dogs to a sick chicken of my aunt.

I am so happy especially because of keeping a pure black jersey giant. I adore her. She is of a very good breeding stock. I give her everyday oyster flour to make her bones strong.

I am afraid of buying a rooster because of my bantam. What can I do if he breaks her leg when he tries to mate?

Well, the heaviest rooster breed that my bantam's back can afford is the POLISH?

I will choose the buff laced variety.
