Hey MDBucks,

You make the Buckeyes interesting. What are the roos like? Is the breed bossy with the other breeds? Do you keep your guineas in with your chickens? I've never had a big problem mixing them but a friend of mine has, and they were raised with chickens.
Thanks

The hens are really friendly, the Roos are protective, but not pushy, they will step back and let all the hens get treats first. They are not much for confronting others Roos for being roos, but do not like the other roos going after THIER hens, and will run them off for that. My guineas have been with chickens since day one, in fact they follow a EE roo like he is thier leader, kindof funny to see a Roo about 6 inches taller than them surrounded by a dozen guineas. I have had not problems so far, they seem to chase each other most of the time.

This Is what I am thinking for my six :2 buckeye's, 1 EE, 1 Delaware, 1 buff orph, 1 Golden Campamine, and 1 austrolope.

What do you guys think especialy what is your experiance with Golden Campamine's and Delaware's?

I have a chicken tractor and a large movable run big enough for the 12 hens I want I have 6 now.

Thanks Henry

Campines are not as friendly, but will come for treats, have slightly smaller eggs, but not bad for thier size, they are a little smaller than the leghorns, but they definatly make up for any lackings with thier colorings

2 Rhode Island Reds: Fantastic egg-production(300 eggs a year, light brown, X large), superior meat quality and friendly and tame personality! Safe for kids to pet!

2 Buff Orpingtons: Good layers(150 eggs a year, brown, medium to large) and excellent meat quality. They're very sweet and timid! Make good pets!

2 Buff Rocks: Excellent dual-purpose birds and very good pets!

White leghorns are excellent layers(300 eggs a year) of white eggs, but they can be very excited so be careful!

Good luck!
