Which BYC member scares you?

They can be cute if your house is built for one. And if you train them to do all sorts of things they're not so bad.
But I hear of wayyy too many bad habits they pick up, like biting, slapping, screaming, throwing me-balls, and wrecking stuff.
Lots of them also require diapers🤢
Monkeys are not for the faint of heart😂
Oh yeah, all those things are a no-go. Plus I don't even find them very cute.

I want to surprise my wife so I went ahead and got myself put on the list. I don't know how I'll hide me making the enclosure though

How big to those get?
When I was about 5 or so, my parents used to take me to a small pet shop because they let you touch the bunnies and birds they had there, and I didn't have any of my own pets at the time. The owner of that store had a huge Tegu that someone dumped at his store. This Tegu was really aggressive, and he would hiss and lunge at you. He also terrorized all the other animals in the store when the owner let him out of his enclosure for walks around the shop. Definitely not a pleasant animal. But if I remember correctly, it wasn't as brightly colored as this one, so it was probably another species of Tegu.

I'm open to bird suggestions. :pop
I've always thought zebra finches were adorable and like their noises but @SundownAviaries mentioned that they can be mean. ☹️
How big is the cage, and what exactly is the bar spacing?
I think a cockatiel or a conure (maybe a Green Cheek) might be a good choice.

No monkeys🥺

Jk, I would keep a capuchin or a marmoset, if it was within my budget and would fit my lifestyle. But besides that I think they're fairly nasty and annoying pets, they should be left in the wild.

A sugar glider would be fun! If the cage were fixed up for one.
I know a family that had a monkey. I do not remember what kind exactly, but it was pretty neat. It was always getting something wrong with it though and eventually got sick and died.

This is why I would want one.
My very own green bean snapper.
He's so serious about it🤣
You think they it would be stronger. It grimaced every time like it was a struggle to snap the bean lol

Not like a chimp that can rip a persons face off
