Which BYC member scares you?

Yeah, we try really hard to retain people too. Seeing someone get fired is usually a clear sign they ROYALLY screwed up. Like the guy I canned for calling in sick, from the airport, ON SPEAKER PHONE so I could clearly hear the terminal PA system in the background. He hadn't even asked for time off and took a week-long vacation to what turned out to be Cancun. When he got back, we extended his vacation to "permanent".

I've had a couple show up drunk, and one I had to let go because he physically assaulted another member of staff. People ==sh*t.
My favorite, and I sympathize with the fellow, was he couldn't be off work (lose pay) so he came in AFTER his hemorrhoids surgery WHILE still on pain meds but couldn't work so was taking a nap in PLAIN VIEW while his coworkers covered & did his job.

He lost his job and was able to recover at home. What a pain in the butt!

We did HW cloth under the coop because of diggers. (gophers, ground squirrels and meeses) but I dug out the footprint of the coop about 4" deep, laid the hw cloth down in that and then backfilled over it so it's not directly on the ground of the coop but still keeps the diggers out. If you can envision a rectangular cake pan lined on the bottom and up the sides with aluminum foil, that's a very good idea of what I did. Then the edges of that HW cloth are tacked into the outside edging on the coop at the bottom before the siding is attached. This gives overlap and keeps the critters out.
Yes. This sounds so official! I will present some options when we get to that point. He mentioned re-attaching the coop to the new base being the tricky part, so that would be a good point to let him know that I'll be expecting him to have that HWC flashing run all the way up! lmao He will totally love having the helpful input!
