I was gonna say that your babies are beautiful and I LOVE your run setup... But then my brain switched off and went: "is that a tire!?" You can put tires in chickie runs!?

That's their dust bath. They just love to jump on it.
I've recently added lots of branches and logs for enrichment, and I can tell they're not as bored now.

It's probably their dustbath area, if I had to guess.

We're always trying to figure out what to do with our car tires... Maybe next spring I'll bury one part way so they can fluff around in it; maybe then they'll stop making huge holes for me to trip in! Great idea! Thank you!

I found some big stumpy logs in our fire pile that I wanna grab, but they're waaayyyy at the bottom. I have to wait until we burn some more to get them.

Awww your setup is making me feel bad that mine's not as big... I took natural branches though and hung them up around the run. One of them is crooked to the point that it became a natural chicken swing. They love it!... Til it swings too much one way and they take a header

I never thought to add bits of wood to the floor... I'm terrified of them getting bumblefoot, as I know I definitely won't be able to care for that on my own. I can't look at blood
