I see what looks like the little horn

Yup, it’s a damn tomato hornworm and so far he’s the only one that I’ve found.

Are they the worm's eggs, or the eggs of hornets? Up here, there's a hornet (wasp, bee, whatever) that lays its eggs on the worms and they hatch and eat the worm.

They're parasitic wasp eggs.

One can wipe a plant out in about a day and hard to see until they get so big after eating your plant
