He won't lose the curls. My son had curly hair like that when he was little. He looked like a little man when we got his hair cut for the first time. I cried, not gonna lie. Kept the curly/wavy hair though. His hair is sorta long now, I hate it. Absolutely hate it. But he's going through this whole, "it's my hair and I can do what I want with it" phase. I told him, I own his head until he's 18, I'll cut it any time I want

My boy went through a phase wanting long hair. I told him he could grow it as long as he wanted, but he'd have to brush it every day. He decided that was too much work. (Unrelated to the hair cutting incident lol)

Gawd y'all reminded me of another story. Long ago and far away my brother and I went to Nuevo Laredo shopping. I LOVE oregano, btw. We found an open air spice market and of course the most fragrant oregano . (Stop it. It was really oregano.) The lady asked how much I wanted (I think). I held up two fingers (not sure how much that was.)
The lady started scooping out TWO KILOS of spice.
The Customs guy saw that, shook his head with a 'you dumb@$$' look and waved me through.

People are just weird like that, wether the kid has long or short hair, or wether the kid wears tutus or dinosaur boots, people are just plain weird.
