If that's the best you got, you should probably play somewhere else.
Talk about the subject of another heated debate! Now everyone will definitely mistake me for a man. Maybe I'll get paid more!![]()
My highest paid members of staff are both women. Theyr'e also both walking the walk and deserve every penny. We are big believers in the aristocracy of talent at my workplace.Talk about the subject of another heated debate! That’s an excellent choice. I’ll start it off. Where I work (not to be named in public forum), men and women get paid exactly the same within the same job title. And yes, plenty of women and men work in the same job title.
I'm just teasing. Everyone in the same position gets paid the same at my employer too.Talk about the subject of another heated debate! That’s an excellent choice. I’ll start it off. Is that a fancy way of saying merit? My highest paid members of staff are both women. Theyr'e also both walking the walk and deserve every penny. We are big believers in the aristocracy of talent at my workplace.
Not mine. No way in hell I'd do my role in a dept that shall not be named for my current pay.Everyone in the same position gets paid the same
It goes a bit deeper than that. Merit applies fairly equally as a principle to everyone. If you work to meet or exceed your goals you merit a higher increase comparatively. The aristocracy of talent is a mindset that values real life, practical experience equally or greater than a degree or certificate (or stupid gender bias). It's awesome if a candidate has a degree, but I'm not going to pay them more than the person with multiple years of hands-on experience applying for the same role simply because they got up and made it to class on time for 4 years in college. Show me what you've got. Earn a bigger slice of the pie, and I'll bend over backwards to put that pie on your plate. I don't care if you're a man or a woman or a talking plant. I'm paying you for your brains and talent, and the better you are at your job, the more I'm gonna want to pay you.Is that a fancy way of saying merit?
Well we only have 1 department so this isn't an issue for us. But I get the sentimentNot mine. No way in hell I'd do my role in a dept that shall not be named for my current pay.
