It was probably just a deformity originally, and then some psycho decided it looked cool, so they bred for it.

My goose eggs are in lockdown.

Set 10 and candled around the 10-day mark. Tossed five clears.
Candled about a week after that and had one quitter.
Hopefully these four all make it.

I just put my chicken eggs on lockdown today too. Hopefully we get some babies this weekend!

I opened the hatcher this morning to check on the one that was doing this yesterday evening:

And he was zooming around on top of all the other eggs. lol Not sure if any more of those will hatch or not. There are probably still 20 eggs in there, but once they started hatching babies, the hens weren't as good about staying on the eggs.
