I had that same thought🤣
The snake tank has a heating pad on one side that blocks view. And I would definitely make the cockatiel cage snake proof.
He has escaped three times because he can push the lid open, so I'm definitely considering a different spot.
I tried to feed him a live bunny once and he was scared half to death by it moving.
Also, he's only active at night, I can't get him to budge during the day😂
So the cockatiel probably wouldn't see him.
Cockatiels can get night frights and actually die from them. I'm glad you will research some more before you get one, being in the same room as the snake is a big no no. Cockatiels need to be with the family so the living room or family room are good spots

Okay, then I'll put it on the desk I never use, it's in the living room area. But the dogs prowl around at night and my room was going to be a quieter area🤔
Maybe the snake can relocate.

My cockatiel is fine with my dog running around at night. He even calls him "dumb dog" when the dog won't stop, at 3:00 am. You could put your tiel in the livingroom and cover his cage at night with a light sheet

What else can George say?
🥰 He says good night, Georgie Georgie Georgie and hello. I'm trying to teach him to whistle the Andy Griffith theme song too. He mostly whistles and makes funny noises to his one toy. I'll try and get a video...

He also knows how to high five but was being stubborn

Okay, I mentioned to DH about getting more females and I will check availability to add to our order. Of course that means a bigger duck coop and that's like, noob mistake No. 1, not building a duck coop *Before* you get the ducks. Ugh.
Eat the ducks… problem solved. You’re welcome!
