I was leaning more toward him too. But he is alot smaller than the black. I've noticed that blues are different than blacks. Would that be a problem? The size.
You should breed the black hen with the blue rooster and/or the blue hen with the black rooster. That way, you'll get more blue offspring. If you breed black x black, then you'll get only black chicks. You could also breed blue x blue if you want to get a variety of chick colors (including splash).
Well thanks you guys have been a great help I was affraid that this was going to be a bad thread letting me know how bad both them are... well I was wrong and thanks for that...... I want to use the blue rooster I think because I really want a splash hen/rooster, and I think that he is a bit fuller and more cochin-ish. Even though he has bad wing carriage i thing he will complement my hens. Which all carry their wings pretty good.
I'm going to keep the black and use the blue..... right now im looking for shape. I think the blue is better in shape. The only draw back to the blue is his wings are too low and he has too much yellow in his beak. But hes nice and round and has very heavy foot feathering. So I will probably only use him for a year
