Which diagonal at trot?

It's been a while, but I think that you are up when the inside shoulder is down. I think. On the straight, you are still thinking about that next corner, so you're in the right. On trails, spend time on each, so your horse doesn't become more unbalanced. Every horse has a better side, just like we do!

Front leg on fence side should be outward when you are standing a post.... at least I think... I 'm more of a western rider. Haven't ridden English or dressage since I was a wee youngster.
 
Gosh..I know a little saying that I think goes along like, 'rise and fall with the leg on the wall'. I can't remember now lol.

You rise with the leg that is next to the fence when going straight. So if you're tracking right you'd be rising with the left leg, and if you're tracking left you'd rise with the right leg.

I'm awful at posting even after 3 years...but that may be because I ride western and barely practice it :oops:
