Thanks! I understand it now!Yes sort of. I’m not very good at describing! But once you get on your English saddle start off in walk and look down at the shoulder. You should be able to see the shoulder move forward and the leg go down. Look at it as a beat, 1-2, 1-2, 1-2 etc. Then you can move in to trot and check what the shoulder is doing. I’d suggest sitting trot until you can get idea what those legs are doing and when they are down before moving into rising trot.
When that outside shoulder comes forward and down you should be sitting in the saddle. Once you get the hang of it you will be able to just glance down and know if you are right. Plus I find the feel of the horse is for a better word wonky when on the wrong diagonal. I can certainly tell on my Harry if it’s the wrong diagonal.
