Which feeder to get?

I love the top 3 pound hanging one in your picture! I have had great success with it! Little waste when I use the pellets, easy to clean and I refill it daily for my flock of 8.

Ok, I think I'll just get a good, yet cheaper one from TSC and not worry if it's metal or plastic. Thanks Tilly, I'll look for one with a similer design

. thaokou21 I know it's much cheaper to make my own, but like I said if I tried to make my own it just wouldn't happen for several reason I don't care to explain. Buying one would save a lot of stress all around and we have the money to do so, so that's what we're going to do

I don't know about this one. We have tried several different feeders and our birds always scratch the containers and knock over all the feed. Silly birds. Might as well throw it on the ground haha.

We have a 30 lb metal hanging one. I like it. You can adjust it so that less feed comes out and it doesn't seem to get wasted. We were planning to make one with a 5 gallon bucket but when dh heard how much the feeders cost new, he said it wasn't worth it to make one, what with worrying about putting in something to make the feed flow (like an upside down funnel or whatever). We have an auto feeder that we made with a bucket and a little lever thing and the feed wouldn't come out without putting something in the bottom to divert it to the center.
