Now, if there was a cat the size of the Great Dane I had several years ago who actually noticed me once and a while, then I'd say I liked cats. But I believe that all such things have gone extinct, and if they were alive today they'd consider me as food.

dogs chase and KILL chickens

cats don't. My cats all sleep with my chickens in the hen house and they kill the mice in the feed room. My cats are awesome. They don't bark all night, they don't get loose and tear things up, they don't chew, they don't chase cars, they don't scare the cattle, we don't get complaints about them...

my dog on the other hand I would love for someone to take him.

But this is just my oppinion. I have never seen a dog bark all night or chase cars.

ETA: I do not want to start a fight or cause problems. But it sounds like all your dog needs is a little training. What kind of dog is it? Some are just naughtier than others

I like dogs, but cats are cool. My friend dislikes both, but she was very,very lucky to have her dogs when her house was broken into. Her younger sibling was sleeping in the living room, and her dogs started going crazy outside. She got scared, and went to sleep with her parents. Her mother decided to go check on everything make sure things were alright, and their front door was wide open. Her dad then checked the house, making sure the person who broke into their house was not there. Luckily, they were't. If it weren't for their dogs, who knows what would've happened. So yeah, I'm super glad my dogs bark whenever strange cars come down our driveway.

Everyone (As I said before) Is entitled to their own opinion, so if you like cats, then okay! You like cats.
