Hi everyone!
My husband and I are looking to add a rooster to our flock for breeding purposes. We want to transition into a dual purpose homesteader flock. We have 12 layers now. Some dual purpose, some not. We like pretty chickens and pretty eggs.. (I mean, who doesn’t?) But we also like tasty chicken and eating lots of eggs! Having a hard time deciding between these two local roosters.
The reddish one is a blue laced Wyandotte/New Hampshire cross
The gray one I’m told is a blue sapphire.
which one should we get??

To me the Wyandotte/New Hampshire bird appears to be more 'meaty'.
