Which rooster to keep?

I have 2 white silkie girls and one splash showgirl(looks more like a turken) I have 2 white roos, one spash and one black, all are silkies. Which one or two should I keep?

Pick the nicest, best with the girls, that is not mean to you, and if their all those things the prettiest.

Personality is important! Everybody hates a mean rooster.

Or you can choose by color, in which case the white roos might be good choices, since your silkie hens are white. Or you can choose by which conform best to the breed standard. It really just depends on what you want.

I think in the end you might have to keep the one that you're in love with.

Let me give you a little example. I had a bunch of Welsummer roos to choose from, and I studied them and scored them based on the breed standard, and got rid of some of them, until I only had 2 left. I preferred the comb on the one, and the tail on the other... And when the time came to finally make the decision between the two of them, I found that I just LIKED one of them better. I couldn't imagine selling him and keeping the other one. He had wormed his way into my heart!
