Which roosters do I butcher and keep?

I just am losing sleep over this. I have a flock of 15 chickens and 6 of them are roosters.

I wil be butching them but which ones do I decide on. They are 14 weeks old and they are not free ranged. Im not around enjoy to see behavior.

I was goimg to butcher the smaller ones and keep the larger ones for future meat production.

But please help. Does it really matter

Butcher based on who are being the worst sex-pests and/or bullies.

I have one Cockerel who, except for a little bit of crowing a few weeks ago, hasn't done any bullying or sex-pest-y stuff. He chitter chats to us, and shows all the physical signs of being a roo but we have kept him so far.


I did just cull two cockerels who were picking on the others, one a lot more so than the other but if one was going may as well do the second at the same time.

If there are obvious temperament issues with some and not others make sure to cull those that are rough on hens or people, but choosing to keep the largest for larger offspring is a fine plan.
