Which variety is this Easter Egger?

Although I rarely ever see solid blue or black EE's. Yours carries the common wildtype BBR/duckwing base, but beyond that she could have anything from a little Columbian in her to some melanizer, wheaten, or other genes in there.

That is true, the solid colors are quite unusual in EEs, though it's possible.

Heckel's Hens :

I have an EE that is completely white. Is that normal?

It is a rarity to see all white. You really can't call it normal. Just unique.

Are you sure it's an EE? Extremely rare to see a pure white EE, probably something different. What color eggs, what background in parentage? I'd love to see some pics.

To the OP, EEs come in a lot of color varieties, none of which are formally defined - yours is lovely!

Ranch, i guarantee it is an EE. May the lord strike me down if it isn't.

I also have a completely white EE. Her father is a pure white Ameraucana and her mother is your standard buff, brown EE coloration. She was hatched out of a light brown egg and lays a large green egg. I must say that her cheeks (muffs) are bigger and fluffier than all my other EEs.

I have several solid white, black and blue EE's. All came from a hatchery. I have ordered and sold more than 500 EE's in the past year and I would say that solid white, is more common than black or blue. Right now, I have an order of 50 EE chicks and there are at least 5 solid whites. My older black ones are hard to find in my flock, I have a lot of Black Australorps and Black Sex Links, so the you gotta look close to find the 4 that I have. I almost always try to keep the solid colored ones from the chicks orders.

Here's my completely white EE. I adopted her when she was 8 weeks old and fully feathered in a solid, creme coloured plumage. After her final 'mini' molt she transformed into her presant snow white feathers.

She hatched from a from a blue egg. Her dad, a very handsome banty EE rooster, also hatched from a blue egg. Strangely, she lays minty green eggs. BTW, I got her from a farmer whose kids had a breeding pair of EEs for 4H projects. Mom and dad's feathers were multiple colours.

That is a nice looking white EE. Now I like them even better. I want some EEs, but I don't have room for more chickens right now. If I ever make room for new chicks, where could I find an EE? I seen them in McMurray catalogs but I don't want as many as the minimum order.
