Feather smiled. "Of course! I'd love to!" she said with a glint of excitement in her hazel eyes.Drops smiled at Feather. "Well, what about that hunting you mentioned?" He stared at her yellow and black pelt.
Drops trotted through the mud ahead of Feather. Broken branches littered the path. He walked through a grove of cedars. The trees were twisted and stunted from the wind, roots clinging to the ground desperately.Feather smiled. "Of course! I'd love to!" she said with a glint of excitement in her hazel eyes.
Feather padded out of camp. Her tail waved high in the air and from a distance she almost looked carefree. But who could be in this harsh world of nature versus cat? It felt as if Nature always had a trick up their sleeve. Feather let the mud squelch in between her toes and she purred. The cold, soft, mud felt good in between her paws as she let her pelt soak up the dappled sunlight. "So," she mewed trotting up beside Drops. "Okay, sure," said Feather giving a smile. "I think I scent a mouse under that log," She said close to a whisper but not quite. Feather dropped into a hunting crouch and started to creep toward the log. Without a second thought or move, she launched herself over the log and landed on her feet with a mouse dangling in her jaws."Here, maybe?" Drops said. His tail turned into a question mark. "I think you'd know better than me, I'm no hunter."
