White Ameraucana's ? or bad breeder?

Steve,

Doesn't your state have any Exotic Animal, Poultry Sales or Swap Meet? Take them there if you can't unload them. You'd be surprised, someone may want them. That's where I send my excess, if they don't make the soup pot - lol

I've been getting birds/eggs from Jean and Wayne, as well. Wayne had some trouble with fertility earlier (which I suppose was our climate) which he said improved, and I just emailed him to get some more today but his bators are shut down for the season, so I have to wait `til next year. Bummer...

We are incubating our first hatches a bit later this year due to college running me ragged all the way through summer and I haven't been able to work on my new bator room. In previous years I had them in the house but my NPIP inspector said this year I MUST get them into their own room or forfeit my status :-( I've yet to line the walls of an old tack room(I don't have enough horses anymore to warrant it's necessity as a tack room) which is going to be my new incubator room but hey, at least we got new wiring to accommodate the amperage of bators and brooder lights in that building, which was dug in this spring. I have a couple weeks in early August off, so that's when I'll be getting to the walls and then it'll be a mad rush to get debris samples in, etc... Ah the joys of keeping up with modern rules...

Nope, getting 1-2 eggs a day. I am at the point here where it is time to cull a bunch of old hens. The gals I had laying are setting and since there are hardly any eggs from a couple of my pens, the others all need to go.

Well Darn... :-(

Wayne's done for the season, and sounds like you too. Might have to get some eggs from Steve then.

Steve, I've only seen 12 egg listings from you and I'm looking to purchase 24. Can you spare that many at one shot? How long will your birds be laying? ...and how much for 2 dozen shipped to MN?

Nothing wrong with the pictures steve.......just that something jumped the fence. I have a friend with Orfs and we looked at the pictures at lunch....and this ain't one of them.

I almost bough a dozen last night. Glad I didn't now that I've seen this thread.

Can someone pm me the name of the seller please.

And Jean!

Tell me you'll have more Lav eggs for sale soon. My girl is beautiful and needs sisters and brothers. Can't believe how big she suddenly got.

At least not getting whites right now will make me work harder on adding on space before and not rushing afterwards, but I'll be bothering both of you for eggs on the whites.

Steve,
here's a picture of my little wheaten/white cross. She's got several generations of white in her but does carry the wheaten from the female side. She was similar to yours when she was younger. I only have 2 crosses left which I'm planning on cutting this year, with a white that somehow got a single comb and willow legs. Right now I'm not saving eggs to hatch off them so I've got them in with some other birds I'm taking to a sale this fall. The other wheaten cross is lighter and laced more. This one pictured has more of that buff/reddish color on her neck, so unlike the other. The original wheaten hen I had, was lighter and laced more.
