White capped black polish has white wing feathers growing in

This is my first experience with polish. My chick is about a week old. It came from a breeder. I’ve noticed it has white wing feathers growing in. Is this normal? Thanks

Yep! Just her adult feathers coming in! They grow up so fast!

I know, it’s getting so big! I was just surprised but I thought it would be all black with a white hairdo

It happens, but is undesirable in show birds as is excessive black in the crests.

Ah bummer!! Only got one polish and was hoping to show it eventually

Most probably the wing feathers will become all black when the bird is 4 months old. Most black birds start with few white feathers on wings as babies.
