Hi my name is Jessie and I have 7 ducks. 5 pekins and 2 Rouen. One of our Pekins was found this morning huddled up and eyes matted shut. I brought it in and used warm water to reopen the eyes and one of them oozed with white gunk. The other just opened without anything. Both eyes have this white chunky stuff that I keep pulling out and after cleaning the eyes I gave her dropper of Poli VI solution for vitamin boost and water with ACV. She’s doing much better but she is still very lethargic and doesn’t want to get up and move around. I have her snuggled against me so I can wipe the crap from her eyes. Im not sure what this is other than a respiratory infection but what is the sheets of white in the corners of her eyes?

Hardened puss maybe? Any other symptoms breathing through mouth discharge other than eyes? She may need an antibiotic a vet if at all possible. Do you have any saline for contact wearers? you can rinse her eyes with that or make your own. Terramycin eye ointment [feed stores] but if you think she has a sinus infection she probably needs antibiotics.

@casportpony?

She’s breathing normal but very sleepy and only moves when the dog gets up. She hisses as him and then closes her eyes to rest again
