White Ear Lobe

I have never notice it white. They just started laying.

When they start laying, their comb, wattles, and earlobes get bigger and change colors from a orange or yellow to a red, or white earlobe. You never noticed it before because they weren't point of laying before. Sometimes combs, wattles and earlobes just pop up overnight. Enjoy her eggs.

Thanks, that was informative. I have enough Welsummers to tell. Lobe color is a fair bet, but with 14 WS hens it was true in all but one case. Yes, I have 2 Welsummer white egg layers.
