White feathered "red sex-linked hens"!!!!

Central. 1st time was an all male sex-link order. (found 2 white females out of 27) 2nd time was a "canceled" strait run order. Needless to say I did not have to pay for the second order.

You know what... I talked to them about that. They got their breeders from a guy out on the east coast, I think MA...

They said they get all kinds of colors from their sex-links so somewhere down the line the breeders got mixed up somehow. I was told that they have to vent sex their sex link chicks.... which normaly isn't a thing that you do... that is why they are sex-linked....

Here is a pic from their site that shows their sex link chicks... traditionaly they would be red and white. As you can see they are an array of colors.

The black ones are black sex links. The white spot on the head = male all black = female. I only got two of them and they seemed to be true sex-links. At least that one male was not in question.

Thanks for calling the hatchery. I have not had the time to do so myself.

I called them a few months ago... probably back in spring. I had asked about them as I thought their price on broilers was pretty good.

It's funny as they don't even sell black sex-link chicks... I don't even think they have the breeders for them.

I had a rooster in the fall of the year the night/early morning before I butchered him laid a egg. I never got another one & it died before the next spring but it got out of butchering day.
