White Leghorns

Whoo whooooo! % of my white Leghorn chiks hatched this morning!!! Basil , Google , Cashu , Nemo and Twitter! I LOVE my babies!

Mine layed at 15 weeks and is now 16 weeks and two days old and has missed two days so far not bad from what I gather?!

Mine are eighteen weeks and no eggs yet.Will they lay without nest boxes? we need to get them installed soon.

We have two White Leghorns, Popcorn and Buttercup. Popcorn has grown a very large comb and wattles compared to Buttercup, so we were assuming "she" was actually a "he". However, I found a white egg today and now I'm thinking that Popcorn is in fact a hen, and has just matured faster than Buttercup?! They are both 15 weeks old. At what age can you definitively tell a hen from a rooster?

I'm sure you have girls. I spotted our cockerel leghorn at 4 weeks.

One of my little cuties, only 17 weeks laid the prettiest white perfect egg today.I have 3 white leghorns and I can't tell them aprt yet to give them names as they look almost identical and I have not found anything on each that I can poit to as different.
