White Leghorns

I figured it would be better to have the full pictures also.
Here is my leghorn on the left with his/her brothers mixed leghorn

Front and center.

Since the chicken in question is as big as the brother that's automatically a rooster. Roosters are bigger than hens. Also a red comb at that age means rooster and that's not a leghorn. Leghorns have white earlobes, yours has red ear lobes. He could be a Rhode Island White rooster or another breed with pure white but NOT leghorn.

Thanks Studio2770! I didn't know about the ear lobe coloring. Was told in another forum when they were littler they were leghorn mixed so when All White feathered out all white I figured he was leghorn strong. He did have bigger feet then Bad Hair Cut but not as big as Speckles feet. All White has greenish feet, Bad Hair Cut has light pink, and Speckles are yellow. Does feet color play a role in breed? The other three that were with them are brown and greenish legged and other forum felt had EE in them. Hate not having info on them but they were a gift that was bought at an auction and they didn't know to ask info on them.

my little leghorns are 2 weeks old, they look different every day! We have a 2 year old hen that gives us a Lg. egg every day. I love her eggs and can't wait for Georgia and Gretel give us eggs!

The leghorns in the UK have big crests.

I have a leghorn X & someone asked me where did she get the large crest from.

I wasn't aware there was a small crested variety, I think they look nicer.

My hen is the spitting image of this:

But with a slightly larger, flopping crest.

I wrote a thread about her:

Does anyone have a favorite farm or hatchery for WL pullets? I am looking to start a small backyard flock primarily for egg production. The max herd size for Memphis is 6 hens.
