White lumps on eggs?

Most of the eggs that my mixed breed flock are laying are getting little white lumps, but only on one end of the egg. Some eggs have it bad while others don't have much, just a patch. I know this isn't normal, so what could it be? Calcium defeciency? Illness? Thanks for your replys in advance

If it's a bumpy texture on the egg shell, it is just excess calcium - nothing to worry about.

I get eggs such as that with regularity. They go in the cartons with all the rest.
