White Orpingtons

PC, you were at the Durham Fair! I live at the Durham Fair--literally! We get three day passes and eat breakfast, luch and dinner there! I live a about 1/10 a mile from the fair grounds. My babies will be in there next year, and my BFF

Tony, good luck in your search. I havent come across any yet but you should check out the hatcherys mentioned!

Thanks Tiffany, I remember you saying you lived close. What a madhouse the fair
was this year, good weather and all. The smoked turkey legs were especially good.

I'll look forward to seeing your birds there next year.

Yeah-Im right on Main Street- I can see the library from my house (which is adjacent to the fair grounds). we sneak in the back way, little less crowded.

Hi All,
WooHoo!!! I put in an order for some white orpingtons from MurrayMcmurray, they are scheduled for the week of March 10th.
My Orpington flock is FINALLY going to come to be. With Tiffany hooking me up with some in the future and Miss Sue and her beautiful blue roo she gave me. So exciting!! hehe!! Tony

Don, we are practically neighbors, I`m in Shelton, right off of Rt.8, it passes right behind my yard.

I have a couple of White Orpingtons that I got from McMurry last spring...I am not home right now, but when I return I can take a picture of them if you would like to see them...

Red, count me in, I`d like to see them. Also..how are they? are you happy with them, did they grow up nice and healthy and looking good? Tony

Yeah--how many??? Now youll have to hook me up with some fertile eggs next year!!!

I candled my 4 day eggs- looks okay so far. If I dont have a good bunch, Im going to throw some more in for you (I love incubating things) and I am going to pull out the RIR to be sure you get orps! My RIR will think they are getting luxury treatment getting to free range alone!

From what I can remember of them they are nice and friendly...

I have been away from home for the last 3 months and was gone on and off for the 3 months before that...so basically I have been gone and/or distracted since July due to my husband being diagnosed and treated for cancer at MD Anderson. The White Orps were still growing babies at the start of all this. So once we are home I will be able to take a better look at them and take some pictures to show you. We are hoping to return home at the end of next week if all goes well.

I only have 2 or 3 hens so sorry no hatching eggs.

I hate to keep saying the above over and over…but we are so excited about returning home. We have missed our children, family and pets so much. I can’t wait to sit outside and just watch my chickens for hours! And take some pictures of them!
