White Peachicks

Quote:
Guess you've never been on the receiving end of dead birds via the postal system, and yes, even Express Mail.

Sorry I put my two cents worth into the conversation, I just felt like you guys were laughing it up a bit much. Most of us have our reasons for not wanting to ship; I am very happy for you that you have not yet had any problems with shipping or receiving live birds.

And yes, it is the seller's call. Always.

Sorry at this time I do not want to ship the chicks. I had them sold locally but buyer wanted me to give them a better deal because she was taking all three white's plus three blackshoulder chicks and I though my prices were more than fair and would not take less money so she backed out, and the blackshoulder chicks have already been sold.

I do not sell any peachicks until they are two weeks old, I want them off to a good start before they leave my hands.

I just advertised the white chicks locally, and I usually do not have a problem selling my chicks and I would sooner put them in the person's hand than in the hand's of postal system because I have been on the receiving end of a dead chick, it was only once, most of the time they are great with shipping, and I want people to be completely satisfied with birds they get from me, I know how I felt when I opened box and found the dead peachick.

I understand. I would rather buy local too, it's just many times that is hard to do and if I did not get things shipped I would not have many of the wonderful birds I have now.

SCF - We were not laughing it up about the shipping of peachicks, only on the fact that Boggy and I often have the same taste and thoughts..... It must be nice to be able to sell all your animals local..

Chickenzoo and I are friends and like said often like the same birds, very often.
Your 2 cents are noted, and understood, but I still have all the right in the world to ask right??
And I am pretty professional in all my packing and shipping, eggs, chicks, juvies and adults, there fore the good results, I have received dead birds many times over the 25 + years of doing this, it's all part of it, sometimes you cant find what you need locally and have no other choice. If the seller doesnt want too, fine, but I have the right to ask.
I got a bunch of rare wild turkeys that way not too long ago, seller said they have never shipped. I told them how, got all 10 in perfect shape and now they ship their birds to anyone. Some folks just dont know how to go about doing it is what I was getting at.
In either case, this is a for sale page not a should you ship or shouldnt you post. Sorry
Aubrey

Chickenzoo and BBB, everything is good. I guess I kinda felt like snowshoe was getting picked on a little bit, or that the 2 of you were laughing it up at snowshoe's expense. Not everyone here knows that the 2 of you are good friends and share a similar sense of humor.

I get it.
Oh, and Chickenzoo, it IS nice to always be able to sell our stock locally, it might take a little longer sometimes but worth the wait. We don't just have poultry stock, we actually specialize in black Angus cattle and quarter horses. The local kids call our farm "the zoo" for good reason; right now along with the cattle, horses, chickens, pheasants, & peafowl we also have buffalo stock, donkeys, and one handsome llama! Because we are known in these parts for all the other livestock, that probably makes it easier for us to sell local.

Just a note...
Snowshoe has BEAUTIFUL peafowl!
I made the drive down to pick up a couple of blackshoulder chicks. The chicks I picked up last Monday are doing wonderfully. They are thriving. I can even pick them up and pet them after a week of handling them.
He has very nice birds. I'm very happy with my chicks!
