I hold the NFL responsible for bad judgement. It does not take 4 months to decide wheter or not he broke the law. He deserves to never play again. He punched his girlfriend so hard she passed out for a second. He SHOULD be in jail! Football players are role models wheter they like it or not. They choose to play football and make good money....and they should be held to a higher moral standart.

As for TV, I live in Texas and my area has 3 PBS channels on the free hd box thingy. I love PBS. Netflix and youtube are also helpful.

Why should it just be football players that are like that ? Shouldn't plumbers and electricians be like that ?
If a plumbers breaks the law should he never be allowed to do plumbing again. No person should be held to a higher standard then anyone else.

If a plumber punched his wife in her face, he WOULD be serving jail time. So why do football players get away with being a criminal? Why do they get to keep being examples for our children?

Like it or not, certain people are held to a higher standart. If President Obama punched his wife, would anyone be discussing wheter or not he should still be President?

Yes, in a perfect society we would all be held to the same moral code. That would be great but it ain't going to happen.

Ok fine. Believe what you will. I don't think either one of us is changing our opinion on this. But the fact remains that the plumber would end up with MS Family Violence and wouldn't be a plumber any longer because NO One hires people with any sort of FV conviction.

HD is right. The plumber would get a slap on the wrist an probably nothing on his record. Even if he did it a lot an served time he would have a plumbing job the next day after getting out of jail. People with criminal records have an easier time finding skilled trade jobs than other people.

I see "The Curse of Oak Island" is coming back this season. What would have been an interesting engineering project and a good chance to explore some history turned in to total BS with all of the wasted time talking of a supposed curse. The writers should be drawn and quartered on TV for this travesty. At least that would be better TV. There are no curses! It is total BS.

The probable source of this hidden treasure is ignored. That would be the expulsion of the Jesuits in 1767 from the Spanish, Portuguese, French territories is the most likely source. The Jesuits went, but without their treasure. They hid it.

The treasure of Victorio Peak was probably a Jesuit stash.

The Oak Island story started in 1795 when a tree with a block and tackle was found over a depression. That was 28 years more of less after the expulsion of the Jesuits from the Spanish and Portuguese empires.

Why is this not mentioned in the program? Well, the Jesuits and the Catholic Church still exist. They would have a claim on whatever is found.
