Yes, and no artificial lighting. My Silkie has benn laying too now AND ALL her eggs been fertile.

I know this is an older thread but I’m looking for input on the WTG & WTB hen temperament. I’ve read older threads (like 3 years old) that are starting to sway my wanting to add the Trues into our flock.

They are great layers of consistently large eggs. They are not bullies nor are they lap chickens. One of mine molted hard. Laying decreased in Winter.

Love my green- sweet and reliable layer. blue is a good layer but flighty as hell.

I saw in OP's first post MM said the true greens breed true (I'm assuming for egg color) has this been confirmed by anyone yet. I'm doing some OE research and was curious.
