The only thing that would tick me off if my hubby got into hunting is that I couldn't go with him. The funny thing is I had a forum friend who bow hunted as well as hunting with a gun (yeah I don't know the correct lingo) and I said the same thing about a freezer full of meat. His reply was that he just bought a muzzle loader (?) that cost around $400 so his wife disagreed that year that it was cheaper to hunt your own meat

He did send me some homemade venison jerky one year and omg that stuff was like dying and going to heaven good.

Well that forum got changed over and I eventually stopped frequenting it so I really need to know who will send me some venison jerky.

Lol. "Hunting camp" is more of a drinking binge for my man's family, lol. Hunt in the mornings, then in the afternoons, play drinking games until you pass out drunk.

yup mine too--eat like kings, fart like fools, pass out at 7pm, snore like freight trains- lights out till 5am drive start all over for 10 days with 1 day to come out and shower and eat T day dinner and right back in!

My DH shrimps, hunts and fishs. Shrimp season opened in SC on September 15, I've got 36 quarts in the freezer so far.

Now he's in PA with his new bow.

Me Me Me LOL I'm a huntin' widow ~

My dhs nickname is the master deer slayer

During season the only time I see my dh is when we are in the bed sleeping. He is a serious hunter. We live off of deer meat though so he has to be in the woods at all times until we fill up our freezers. I go with him when the kids are at nana and pawpaws. He likes for me to film his hunts. My oldest dd goes hunting with him alot.

He usually kills more deer in the mornings than he does evenings too and that means I skin/clean all the morning deer because he goes off to work after he drags it home.

He is itchin' to get started on this season.
