The trick is to process yourself- its not really all the hard to do. It will take awhile to do until you get use to processing them. You still have to buy the hunting licence but its only $58 for everything here and one deer will save you that much money compared to going to the store. We don't have any dues and gas is little because there are lots of local public places to hunt as well as kind farmers that want the deer gone. Also you have to put your foot down when it comes to them wanting to buy new toys every year- guns, bows, fancy scentloc suits, and gimic's the promise a bigger kill. Just tell them people use to hunt with out camo and fancy stuff and did fine. If your hunting for meat the big horned deer are not what you want they are tough and not as good to eat in my opinion.
