Who else got a great Mother's day gift?

A couple of my son's friends spent Saturday night, so I got to cook breakfast for them! After that, they played a song for me that they had written, then they and DH helped me in the garden. After that, we went to see Iron Man (fun movie) then I came home and took a nap. A little more work in the garden, then BBQ. All in all, a great day!

It's not really chicken related, but I got a new digital camera. I have a 4 megapixsel which was okay but this is 7.1 and I can't believe the difference. I can take better pictures of my chickies now once I learn how to use it. This weekend I have 14 gorgeous babies that hatched.

I got to hang 150' of chicken wire to ruin my neighbors' fun watching their dogs destroy my garden.

My husband and oldest boy modified our children's playhouse into a coop.
Its a really cute little wooden house with window boxes and painted to match our house, but the children outgrew it.
It will be perfect for the young chickens until the big coop gets built.I will always be able to use this one as well.We went to the home improvement store and got the materials for nestboxes and roosts. My husband is outside right now building the nestboxes! I also got a new camcorder.

I woke up Sunday morning, and found my husband and oldest son (6) gone. They came home with a really pretty card that said "we all have our good days, and bad days, and all we can do is keep trying. Warm, colorful days are coming, and we think you are doing a great job being mom." Yeah, I had a bad day Saturday, was all stressed out, it was gloomy and rainy, etc. My youngest son is disabled, and for some reason, Saturday it was bothering me...and he is 2; I thought I had come to terms with everything

They also brought home a pretty hanging plant-Fuschia, I think....never had this kind of plant before, as my specialty is Petunias and Geraniums-read, EASY!

We went to lunch at my favorite Chinese/Mongolian grill buffet, and then stopped at a greenhouse and picked up some nice flowers, and some tomato/pepper plants. It was a beautiful day yesterday (total opposite of Saturday) and I spent the rest of the day planting flowers and organizing my outdoor decor, bird feeders, etc.

I also stopped over at my mom's while she was out of town yesterday, and planted some flowers in her little wheelbarrow planter, and left a nice card.
