I have now 4 turkenx easter eggers, 3 black, and 1 white, picking up my 4 day-old australorps and 2 1 week old pekin ducklings sooo excited!!!!

I have had two hatches in 2013.
The first one was under a broody in March and she is doing a great job at bringing them up!







They are now nearly 5 weeks old







My second hatch was last week in an incubator, my first time and 8 hatched from 13.

i got 8 production reds today. they are 11 weeks old now.

We just started a little flock after about 4 years without a chicken. About mid March we got 3 buff orpington pullets and a roo, 3 barred rock pullets. Today I picked up a barred rock roo and another pullet. These must be the gentlest two breeds. We had buffs before and loved them, but I think the barred rocks have them beat.

I love hearing good things about barred rocks! Mine should be here in about a month and they are my first abs first big flock!!
