Sadly no it was catch and release for them in that lake

I catch and release quite often, I like the thought of them continuing making a new generation of game fish. We get a lot of people who don't fish legally and keep every fish they catch, even under the limit fish and paddlefish (which are illegal except in the fall). So I try to be generous when I have a fishing day. That is, if I catch anything

I keep as many as I can legally and throw back all the small ones.
