Hey who else's eggs are hatching at this very moment? It's going to be a long night:lau

Good thing I already knew that and prepared with extra sleep..any way

Here's what I've got cookin, 14 silkie eggs from my flock at the moment there are 6 pips and several more

eggs wiggling. I expect some to be hatching very soon. So if you're hatching at the moment come share the

experience and company. Please share what your eggs are and how many. Happy Hatching

Hey Silkie Sue...I also had eggs start pipping about 45 min ago...also Silkies and Olive Eggers! These where not suppose to start until tomorrow!! I am worried though. The humidity was 57 so I added some water...which is how I found one had already started zipping.....now the H is 70. Is this too high and if it is what can I do to lower it..this is my first time doing this on my own. I am using a LG still air...good luck!!!

humidity at 65 to 70% is excellent. Mine is at 70 so you're good. I also had some start early this morn which would of been day 19. It's ok they'll be fine.

But no more opening the bator, you'll shrink wrap them. Take a deep breath, sit on your hands and watch

Thanks Suz...a friend and I hatched some a month ago....she would get excited about one not going along quick enough and being a vet tech...well,.it was opened several times. She lost about 100.00 in eggs. I felt so bad for her. About 30% made it. SO...being my first time then....we both learned a HUGE lesson!
Will PM you if I start freaking..LOL
