Who else is on lock down?

Oh wow my little Serama eggs are chirping and one has pipped.

This is Day 20.

Oh I do hope they do ok.

I was thinking I should play lullabies for them.

nothing from the other 8 eggs I killed them

I don't think you killed them. There are so many variables that effect a hatch. Temps, humidity, shipping, fertility, viability.

I set 3 and had one pip. They were from my flock. It happens.

I am sorry

I still have 6 yet to hatch. I do not have much hope for them. I guess 20/27 is not bad though

At least one of the other chicks is still alive, but there must be something wrong or they would have hatched. I will give them at least until tomorrow, longer if they are still alive at that point.

My one little Serama guy who pipped hatched out right away and looks fine. I surely do hope that there are more to come.

He is such a blabbermouth that I cannot tell if anyone else is cheeping or not.

He is very cute, anyway, and is already starting to fluff out.

I am also getting 25 chicks from Estes Hatchery tomorrow.

My seramas are always the loudest of the bunch as chicks too, especially if they are first to hatch and are alone! Funny since they are the quietest as adults.

I have hatchlings too! So far there are 6 white silkies, 1 wheaten marans, 1 cuckoo marans out, with more to go. They are due tomorrow. I can't wait for them to fluff up. Sweet, evil, baby silkies. They did steal my heart.

I am hatching Wyndottes. I had a bunch hatch yesterday and one today. There are still four eggs in there that have done nothing. When I listen I don't hear tapping, pipping,or peeping. Are they a done deal?

Lock down begins and excitement grows! Come on chickies hatch hatch hatch!!! Keep your fingers crossed for a first timer please. Need all the good hatching vibes I can get!
