Yesterday, today and probably a few tomorrow hatching in my incubator. My first attempt at shipped button quail eggs. So far 31 healthy chicks out of 72 eggs. I also have spent many hours staring at the "bumble bees" How can anything so small live? They all seem to be eating and drinking well. Constantly in motion. And all the beautiful colors and combinations. Will see how many more decide to come out. Congrats to mother nature.
If this counts, I have a game hen sitting and her 5 eggs are due Thursday
when I just checked on her she was almost standing
in her nest and watching me, I wonder if her babies are already starting to pip/hatch? New babies in the morning I hope
OK this is so messed up. I stick 3 wellie eggs in one of those little yellow dome bators. Can't candle too dark. Today day 19, I have a pip.....
huh, you weren't suppose to be able to grow in that contraption, you were an experiment, if it makes it. I will name it Stitch. Hoping for a girl because my brower likes to hatch boys
I got nothing so far, after a 105 temp spike overnight the other night i'm not to confident i'll get anything. 8 eggs left in the bator and all should have hatched yesterday. No pips, cheeps, or anything
All the temps were fine for the first 16 days no massive fluctuations but of course they day i take them out of the turner and bump up the humidity all goes horribly wrong. Sigh
