If it were my hens, I'd probably give everyone a quick "vent check" to be sure. Just make sure none of them are actively bleeding.
When we were remodelling our coop (adding on) we used stackable totes with open fronts for temporary nest boxes. Filled 'em with shavings, stacked one on top of the other on the floor & the ladies laid in them.
We have since put in our metal nesting boxes. Our ladies aren't too picky, though. If it's got 5 sides, they'll lay in it.
