Who else is watching their EEs change colors?

Just a little update on Buddha. He lost the lacing he had on his tail. I think he's still pretty cute lol.

I like Buddha. He looks like he is saying, "howdy!" with his beak open like that.

I'm so glad I found this thread! I have 3 five day old Easter Eggers and I've been wondering about the great mystery of their feathering in. I will post pics soon of my chipmunks

Thanks Cindilou. He's trying to keep cool hehe. We've been having an extremely hot summer this year in central Oklahoma. It's been in the triple digits every single day since July 1st. We're expecting 105+ degrees next week for 4 days straight

This is one of my favorite threads. All of the babies are adorable and they all feather out differently. Definitely one of my favorite breeds. Can't wait to see your chipmunks

Wow Robin, I know I take the "short bus" when it comes to chicken genetics, but I would never have thought darkish chicks would come from those parents!

Does your flock have a "milk man"?

I read some of the genetics thread (don't understand it though) but I remember several posts talking about white and how it is actually a "color blocker" in chickens instead of being an actual color, so maybe your white boy is blocking darker colors? That is even if I understood the concept of the white in the first place.

thats an idea, i know galahad has tints of rust in his feathers- course alot of the fun of ee's is you never know what they will look like, muffy is a hatchery, galahad is one of corals, i believe she said he was supposed to be ameracauna(not sure on the spelling), but his legs didn't match the standard- but as far as i know we don't have a phantom roo around...
