One of my EE roos, (I bought them straight run, hoping for pullets, I got one of 3)**the roos are also crossed with something, maybe silkie...should be interesting to see them grow up!

My "girl" Amapola, turned out to be a rooster. We brought him to the rooster sanctuary last week. Here are some pictures.
the one at left is him at a few days

then a little older at maybe 6 or 7 weeks, he lost his muffs

Then at about 9-10 weeks he grew his muffs back

Oreo was an accident. We ordered all females, but he snuck by. We didn't think we could have a roo either, no ordinance against it here, but I have great neighbors and didn't want any neighbor issues over a rooster, anyway they (the neighbors) have been great, no issues at all. But I'm not pushing anything either, he is the only one we will have.

I was just 'wishing' for more pics like this on another thread and here you've done it. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to take the pics (and post them!) as your chicks grow. Would love to see more like this for more breeds (and ducklings too :-).

I honestly don't think it is as bad as other peoples dogs barking endlessly at nothing at all, then when one barks the whole neighborhood's dogs have to bark too.

stellacat, thanks
