I play French Horn

Anyone else play F. H. or any other instrument?

I started the violin when I was 8! Haven't played much the last few years though. Dh plays the piano. My sister plays violin brother and Dad are extremely good pianist. Mom plays the guitar.

That's cool. I can't stand string instruments though. I could never play them. I can play marry had a little lamb on viola though

doumbek / jembe (middle eastern / african hand drum)
riq / tabla (middle eastern tamborine/frame drum)
sagat / zills (egyptian/turkish finger cymbals)
and I trained on cello, clarinet, base clarinet, and self-taught on piano, flute, mandolin, all of which I'm very bad at. well, ok, not so much bad as simply not special. at all.
but drum I do pretty well, and zills, well, I'm really really good at.

not a lot of *call* for zill players, but hey, we have the talents we have.

I am self-taught on the piano. I can't count how many songs I've forgotten over the years because I didn't play as much while I was going to college. Sometimes my fingers know what to do before my mind knows!
