Okay, time to use those game cams facing roadways to catch these morons. I always carry my camera when hunting and have the poacher's hotline number programed in my phone. It's those morons that give responsible, safe hunters a bad name.

In Maryland you have to take a hunter's safety course before getting your first license. unfortunately too many people forget what they've learned as they walk out the classroom door.

Personally, I would have called 911 from my phone, then chased these people down, held them till the cops arrived.

As a hunter, few things tick me off as much as idiot 'hunters' and poachers. If at all possible, get thier plate #'s and turn them in to the wardens. Many states have reciprocal laws where if a violator gets their hunting priviledges taken away in one state, it gets taken away in many other states as well. Hopefully, these morons will give up what they call hunting and take up golf or something.

hunters have always been a nightmare around here...I have had one dog and one cat fatally shot...had bird shot raining down on my house for hours, had them trolling the roads looking for deer sign all hours of the night, had dogs get into my duck flock and chase them into the forest and I never did get all of them back...sounds like Viet Nam out there some mornings during "the season." It is the time of year when all the dogs wear orange vests, we paint COW on the ribs of both sides of the animal in floruscent orange...well, you get the idea...I hate hunting season...

We also have to understand the fact that the rural areas are being built up with sub-divisions and other housing so that the deer have no other route to take except through someones back yard. Also, I agree with ya when you say "ain't no body taking my guns" I'm with ya there cause we all have a right to keep and bear arms.

We have deer running by our property 2 or more times a day. We hear gun shots daily. We also have a buck that comes up in our front yard that is 16+ points and guess what.....everyone is after him!!! Don't come shooting near my house cause I'ma gonna shoot back

To me in some rural areas housing is just to close for ppl to be out hunting deer. I understand that you have a lot of property and these fellas may think that since you have so much that you won't be able to keep an eye out on all of it.

Get tag numbers, vehicle description, have you DH call 911 next time they start shooting and let them hear it over the phone and also it will be on tape, then afterwards you can press charges. Honestly.....I love my animals but if it came to an animal being shot or my family member.....I'd rather choose that the animal got shot.

Even though VA has beautiful public lands available for hunting, DH wont go near them as thats where the 'cidiots' (sorry-that cracks me up) come to hunt.

So, he ends up restricted to 'safe places' where he has permission to hunt and everyone else knows who is in the woods with them.

We had a horse shot just 100 yards from where DD was playing last Spring during Turkey Season...Its okay you can laugh... Horse=Turkey... but it taught us that safety isnt guaranteed anywhere and we are extra vigiliant.

My cousin has had lots of foals and shetland ponies shot thru the years during hunting season. Its ridiculous how some ppl think they have this god-given right to shoot a deer and they dont care how they go about getting it! I am on the lookout for their truck, its hard to miss, has a 3-wheeler in the back of it and a big moron hangin his head out the window. I am going to report them.

We have some land in the country surrouned by a public park and corn fields. And they think our land is free game too. I have a herd of brown goats, and several horses. And it drives me crazy, because I can't ride for fear of getting shot. And we have to be careful about the animals getting out.

We also have about 10 people ask us every year if they can park at our house, or hunt in our land. It saddens us. We can't turn them down because they are 'friends'. But we can't work safety outside with worrying about getting hit by a stray bullet. It's so aggervating, that my family is pretty much confined to the house all winter and fall due to hunting.

I think all responsible, sane people should be allowed to own and carry firearms in public and their own property, and that laws that try to prevent this should be shot down, if you'll pardon the pun.

But I support laws being put in place to keep morons from owning guns and that prevent guns from being brought into a place they have no business being (courthouse and school come to mind, as to businesses owned by people who don't want guns being brought into their place of business). And I support laws that stated if you misuse a gun an LEO has the right to take it away from you and, should the misuse be ridiculous enough, shove the ammunition up your nose.

We live near a gun club, so I've grown use to the sound of firearms. Last week however, I heard the crack of a gun from the 'wrong' direction and out of reflex tackled my son to the ground. My neighbor (who had fired the gun and done so in a safe manner) saw this and immediately ran over to make sure we were okay and apologize.

You really only need to experience cross fire from one drive-by to have that reaction.
