It will be in the mid 40's tonight here on the east coast of central Florida. Doesn't sound bad unless like me you live in a 100+ yr old home with no insulation or heat. The coop is probably warmer. To early to be this cold.

I live five miles from the Vermont, New York, Canada borders. We have had steady strong wind and rain all day. It has now turned into "the wintery mix" and the temperature is still falling. We are supose to have snow tonight and tomorrow. My hens were out today in all taht wind and rain but I think I will keep them in tomorrow. The run is muddy and wont get any better with the snow.

We're having severe winds for 24 hours. I'm just praying my turkey shed doesn't blow off over their heads overnight tonight. I can hear the gusts all over the house.

I am so glad I finally got to move to Florida. When I was living up north, and having critters, there was nothing I hated worse than having to go outside and brave bitter winds, frozen extremities, and snow, to take care of animals. It took me a loooong time to get down here (I wont tell you how long), but Im so glad Im here. Right now Im looking outside and seeing frost everywhere, but it will be getting up to 65 today, and I can definitely deal with that.

I have a hard time driving in it and my kids miss so much school due to snow it's not even funny. We're at the end of a private road jam-packed with trees, and our driveway is 180' long. We usually have to get either of our cars towed out of our own driveway at least twice per winter, so we're lucky if we can just get out of the driveway after a heavy snow. Wish the bus would stop directly in front of our house, but we have to make it down to the end of the street to get to it. If we end up with a ton of snow this winter...

Upper 60s yesterday, calling for the 70s the rest of the week and upper 50s for next week. I sure canlive with this. Know it's going to change though. Not looking forward to winter. We always have heavy winds all winter. I always joke that the wind in Wyoming only stops when it gets in the 100 degree mark.
