I just happened to look at one at Walmart tonight when I ran in to buy an item. It had the tilt head and metal gears. It said it was assembled in the US. The price was $200.

Does anyone know if that is a good model (if you can tell from my description) or a good price?

I believe it is the white classic one, I would love to have all the attachments.

I have had a couple in my time....don't know the models but LOVE them. I used to make wedding cakes and a must accessory for that is the shield--otherwise you get powdered sugar everywhere!!!

I recently got the grinder attachment--makes cleaning up after Thanksgiving a snap---in no time you have turkey salad sandwiches!

I don't think you can really go wrong with any model....

I have an KitchenAid Artisan. It's factory-reconditioned. After 2 years it's still going strong, and I paid about $100 less than a brand-new one. My mother's factory-reconditioned Artisan is still going strong after 4 years.
