I have read of MAMMOTH White Muscovy ducks in Australia, but unable to locate a source or information on them in the US.

I am interested in some fertile eggs from white parents of exceptional sized Muscovys. Mammoth Muscovys equal Mammoth eggs? I don't know, but I would have to know the average weight of the eggs in grams to compare with "normal" Muscovys. I will use the weight of the French White Muscovy eggs as a comparison.

I've heard of drakes getting over 20 pounds and I find that interesting.

Anybody having any info on what is known as "Mammoth Muscovys", please post or send me a private message.

Thanks !

Bob

Anybody know what the mature drakes weigh on the average?

Fonished weight (before freezer) is 9 - 13lbs on our drakes. I dont have a live weight because of their size and claws. LoL

Haunted. .... no worries, glad you are enjoying them

Celtic, I think I got you beat....Tramp, the drake, is closer to 15 lbs than he is to 10. He was hatched when, in December? He's a big, big boy!

It would appear then that the Australian "Mammoth" Muscovy isn't anything special compared to some large drakes here in the US. At least one Australian considers a 15 pound drake to be Mammoth.

Haunted my weights posted are processed weights not live bird. LoL I love my big boys. We have culled small birds and now have consistent jumbo fwm
